Who are the recruiters on Upside Talent? How do you vet them?

Any recruiter can sign-up for Upside Talent, however, there are two stages of verification that helps companies better identify who they’d like to work with. There are badges for those that have a) been vetted by Upside Talent and b) have 3 references from past clients.

How much does it cost and how long do searches take to complete?

Prices are set by our recruiters, and vary based on search type, length, and time sensitivity, as well as expertise. Search length is also determined by our recruiters based on their level of comfort with the industry, role, and geography, among others

How does the payment process work?

The process is designed to be simple. Once the search is completed, payment is securely transferred to Upside Talent. We then transfer the funds to our recruiter, net of platform fees.

How do I pay and is it secure?

There are two ways for you to pay: 1. Through a secure credit card check out (powered by Stripe™) or 2. Invoicing (ACH or check).

Do I have to accept a bid “as is” or can I propose changes to the recruiter?

Our platform enables companies to ask for further details from the recruiter or to propose a revised bid (different price, timeframe, etc.). This capability is provided during the proposal period.

What should I expect from the search results?

We aim to show you the recruiters that are best fit for your recruiting needs. If there is not a great fit (80% match of greater), we will show you those that may not be ideal for your search but may have the skills to complete it anyhow given that they may be able to leverage their network for help.

Can I hire a recruiter for a longer-term project, or for a full-time role?

Yes. One of the benefits of Upside Talent is the ability to work with a recruiter to get a better sense of their abilities before committing to hiring. For recurring part-time work (with an individual or agency), we can establish a bi-weekly payment agreement. For placement of full-time hires, we charge 20% of the first year’s salary.

Can I hire more than one recruiter for a search?

Yes. There are two ways one can go about this. You can hire one of the boutique firms on the platform, or you can build your own custom team of recruiters. If you choose to create a custom team, all recruiters must agree to the proposal.

Am I able to have the expert sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (“NDA”) before getting underway on a project?

Yes. Although all recruiters agree to keep all of their work through the platform confidential when they join, Companies can choose to have recruiters execute their own NDA.

What happens if I am not satisfied with the work?

Customer satisfaction is important to us. If for some reason you are unsatisfied, we will work to establish a successful outcome for you through mediation or recruiter replacement.
